About Hi-Flame
Hi-Flame was founded in 2005 with a straightforward ambition: make the best quality stove available, and make it affordable. No shortcuts. No compromise on materials. Just a well-engineered stove that heats a home properly and keeps doing it for decades.
How it started
The company was founded by Richard Poulter and Ian Royle. Starting in Ireland, they built a distribution network of specialist dealers, and the Olymberyl Aidan quickly became the best-selling stove in the country — installed in thousands of homes, many of which are still running today.
From Ireland, Hi-Flame expanded into the UK mainland through a network of sub-distributors who established the brand across the country. Hi-Flame was also a founding member of the Stove Industry Association (SIA).
In 2025, Ian retired, and Alan Royle joined Richard in leading the business. The same priorities apply.
What we make
We don’t try to cover every corner of the market. The range is deliberately small — five models, each chosen because it earns its place. Every Hi-Flame stove is multi-fuel, designed to work with wood and smokeless fuel, and built to keep working for a very long time.
Every Hi-Flame stove is designed and manufactured exclusively for Hi-Flame. We don’t make OEM products, and none of our models are shared with other brands. What you’re buying is the real thing — not a rebadged version of something sold under a dozen other names.
Good stoves, fair prices, and people who know what they’re talking about if you need help choosing.
Where we are now
Development has been picking up pace in recent years.
2024 saw the launch of the Brogan. 2025 brought an updated Precision — a significant visual redesign while keeping everything that made the original work. Coming in 2026: the new Alpha and the Brogan Mór.
